The Problem: No structured way to collect and prioritize feature ideas

The client needed a lightweight way to gather feature suggestions from users and decide what to build next. Without a structured system, ideas were scattered across emails and chats, making it hard to track demand or prioritize effectively.

The Solution: Simple embedded feature request and voting module

I built an efficient module using Podio and ProcFu that can be embedded inside the client’s website. Here’s how it works:

  1. User Submission: Users submit new feature ideas through a simple embedded form.
  2. Podio Integration: Each submission is saved in Podio and categorized by type, urgency, or product area.
  3. Voting Mechanism: Other users can vote on submitted ideas, giving visibility into what’s most requested.
  4. Admin View: Internal team can see requests sorted by votes, making it easier to prioritize development.

This module gave the client a transparent and low-friction way to engage users and validate what features mattered most before building.
