I had a client who ran a public recruitment for an SEO expert, and while they got tons of applications, most of them weren’t great. They ended up wasting hours going through irrelevant or poorly written resumes, which dragged out the hiring process and made it hard to focus on other important tasks. What they really needed was a way to quickly weed out the bad ones so they could spend their time on the strong candidates."
To streamline the recruitment process, I built an automation flow in Make.com that evaluates job applications and filters out low-quality submissions. Here’s how I solved it:
This is a basic version that only checks the email body for demonstration purposes; of course, we can expand it in many ways to make it more robust. With this automation, the recruitment process became significantly faster and more efficient. The client was able to focus only on qualified candidates, saving countless hours and ensuring they didn’t miss the best talent among the applications.
